Hello World!

Hello and welcome to the SysCon Blog!!

So basically, we are all about systems & technology in business and appropriately smitten by all the funkies going on in this space. From game-changing technologies like wearable office solutions and high frequency trading to deep dives into the inner workings of venerated tech giants, over the weeks and days, we’ll bring you worthwhile dirt on all that we believe holy.

This is not a ‘how to’ blog and we do not intend to venture there (unless you ask very nicely). Google in your own time! This blog intends to be a place for starters, sources and inputs/opinions from folks who’re right there and doing it in real time. And of course, with a student-run campus like ours, we will get some of the hard hitting movers and shakers living both above & below the radar to come out in the open with their views … yes, random rants are welcome too.

On a separately different topic: for those into venture capital firms, you have heard of a certain Sequoia Capital right?64 million points if you answered ‘Yes’ and for those of you who like me hadn’t bothered to research it till 6 months ago, these dudes invested in Apple, Cisco, Google and YouTube in ’78, ’87, ’99 and ’05 respectively. Talk about valuation skills!
